About Me
Originating from the DWF area, Michelle Waida came to Lubbock, Texas to pursue a degree in Creative Media Industries and Journalism.
Now a senior at Texas Tech University, Michelle has crafted a unique portfolio comprised of a variety of works from her time spent in hands-on, field learning experiences.
Through these field classes, Michelle has biked over 100 miles across New Mexico, spent two weeks traversing the Trans-Pecos Region, and studied abroad in New Zealand.
Her passion for storytelling encompasses a wide range of media in video, photography, and writing. She has covered issues surrounding politics, education, and public land.
